Who this is for
Ukeloa is a lesson and studio manager for music teachers. Teachers create accounts and manage their studios. Children do not sign up for Ukeloa.
Information stored in a studio
Teachers can store student and family names, email addresses and phone numbers; lesson notes, practice plans and lesson history; practice logs; and uploaded files. Families can view information their teacher shares through a private family portal link. Studio policies acknowledgement dates and lesson inquiries are also stored.
How information is used
We use this information to provide studio management, scheduling, practice plans, family portals and reminders. Email reminders can be sent to students and families. Text reminders use the teacher’s own Twilio number when the teacher enables them.
AI practice plans
When a teacher asks for an AI practice plan, lesson note text is sent to an AI service to write the plan. Teachers should avoid putting unnecessary personal or sensitive information in those notes and review generated plans before sharing them.
Subscriptions and lesson payments
Stripe handles Ukeloa subscriptions. Ukeloa never processes lesson payments. Teachers can display their own payment instructions and record charges and payments separately.
Sharing and privacy
We do not sell your data. Service providers help us host and operate Ukeloa, send emails and text reminders, generate practice plans and manage subscriptions. Private portal and calendar links give access to the information shared through them; keep those links private and reset or revoke them if needed. Public studio pages are optional and show only the details a teacher chooses to publish.
Deletion and questions
Deleting a teacher account deletes the studio’s stored data and uploaded files. Teachers are responsible for the student and family information they enter and can correct or remove it. For privacy questions or requests, email support@ukeloa.com. Sign-in uses session storage and cookies as needed to keep accounts secure.
